mel aims to produce the best mould to fulfil the customer’s requirement. For large quantities and long production runs, you have to invest in product specific moulds and tooling. You need continuous production, low maintenance costs and the highest quality output. mel will manufacture your tooling with the highest accuracy and the best materials, in order to optimise the lifetime of the tooling and keep maintenance to a minimum.
The mel Solution
To meet your and your customer’s demands, we have developed the mel Flexible Mould System (FMS) especially suitable for smaller production quantities. FMS offers the best solution to optimise your investment. Once you have acquired the basic mould parts and plates, the FMS makes it possible to produce other designs of bottles, by simply changing the moulding parts.
Lower production costs
By replacing the cavity, cores, neck-cavity and blowmould, you are able to produce another product in the same mould. Why should you store around 50% of your tooling investment in your warehouse? Just adapt it for other product lines, according to your customer demands. The FMS is tailored to the customer’s requirements, in order to realise savings in their mould investments. Not only does it save money, but also gives you and your customers the opportunity to introduce new products with much lower investment. The payback on the initial outlay for the mel FMS has been proven to be very quick.
We also have an extensive library of optimised preforms for all kinds of wide and narrow mouth jars. This experience will result in short cycle times and lightweight optimised preforms with perfect results.

As a leading tooling supplier, mel can provide tooling for every IBSM machine, including AOKI, ASB Nissei, etc. We have invested in an extensive 3D product and tooling engineering facility. Each mould is delivered with exploded view drawings and spare part list. These documents will provide all the information necessary for correct assembly and operation of the mould parts. This is important information for your maintenance department.
